Vacant Commission/Board Seats

A vacancy exists on the following commission or board for the upcoming year. Any borough resident who might be interested in sitting on one of those boards below let me know and have them submit a letter of interest to borough hall. A lot of these commissions and or boards meet on an as needed basis.

Housing Board of Appeals: The Property and Housing Board of Appeals was created in order to protect existing structures in the jurisdiction by vigorous enforcement of the provisions of the Property Maintenance Code. The Board hears and acts upon appeals brought forth by property owners or responsible parties for a property that has received orders defining a violation of the Property and Housing Maintenance Code.

Board of Health (3 Seats are open): The Board of Health shall have general supervision over the sanitary and health conditions in the Borough.

Zoning Hearing Board: The major role of a Zoning Hearing Board is to provide a legal mechanism for considering appeals from property owners seeking variances from zoning requirements, Special Exception approvals, Interpretations of the regulations and, as a way to challenge the validity of land use determinations.

Recreation Board: The recreation board shall evaluate the parks and recreational needs and desires of the borough.
